After two years of online-only activities, PAD London is finally coming to town in October. PAD London comes to the British city for a week-long celebration of outstanding design. The fair’s 14th edition, celebrating craftsmanship and ingenuity, will once again please art and design enthusiasts with a world-class collection of pieces spanning Contemporary and Mid-Century Design.
Pad London 2022 Returns To Berkley Square
PAD London, founded in 2007 by fourth-generation Parisian antique dealer Patrick Perrin, is the UK’s first fair dedicated entirely to 20th-century and contemporary design.
Every October, the week-long festival takes place on Berkeley Square, in the heart of London’s opulent Mayfair area. PAD London is the sister fair to PAD Paris, which debuted in 1998 and is held at the Jardin des Tuileries in April.

OUR CATALOGUE
This highly anticipated edition will premiere outstanding works by emerging and iconic talents, while also shedding light on rare, age-old techniques, new sustainable crafts, and innovative materials that inform design today, staying true to the distinctive flair and originality that forged PAD’s reputation over the years.
It is a joy to be back in London. This new edition of PAD captures all the elements that constitute the fair’s DNA: a curated gathering of the world’s most visionary gallerists and creators, driven by a common goal.
At the Pad London fair, you will be able to see exceptional work, new talent, innovation and craftsmanship; a desire to inspire the most spectacular interiors by sparking a conversation between past and present and most of all, a commitment to break down barriers between the disciplines of art, design and jewellery in order to foster creativity.
PAD London highlights new works by emerging artists from around the world, such as Chinese innovative material designer Jie Wu (Gallery FUMI), whose artworks and furniture are made by casting antique rosewood in resin of varying colors; and Léa Mestres (Galerie Scène Ouverte), whose pop designs with soft and enveloping forms and radiant colors have quickly gained a strong following.
Pad London Will Take Place From 10-16 OCTOBER 2022
Many of the fair’s designers and artists are interested in innovating sustainable approaches and sustainably sourced materials. Among them are two Mexican designers dedicated to maintaining their country’s unique craftsmanship: Industrial designer Fernando Laposse (Sarah Myerscough Gallery) collaborates with indigenous communities to create striking marquetry pieces made from the colorful leaves of Mexican maize, and design duo ad hoc (Ammann / Gallery) creates objects and furniture in collaboration with local artisans, using high-quality materials such as ixtle (a natural fibre from agave).
PAD has presented maestros and young craftsmen who cultivate rare, century-old methods, establish new crafts, and experiment with unexpected materials year after year. Ceramics and glass artisans are in high demand this year. Textile art and paper pieces will also be on display, as will a new wood cabinet containing woven fabric made of Japanese paper.
With unrivaled passion and flare, PAD fairs encourage eclecticism, genuineness, and connoisseurship. PAD is the only event of its type, with its exquisite environment meant to inspire collectors, art consultants, museum curators, interior professionals, design practitioners, and the general public.
