Cadaval and Solà Morales was established in New York City. In 2005, the company relocated to Barcelona and Mexico City. Clara Solà-Morales and Eduardo Cadaval have lectured and taught at a number of prestigious academic institutions in North America and Europe. At the Barcelona School of Architecture, ETSAB, UPC, they both hold the rank of associate professor. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively, Eduardo and Clara served as visiting professors.

After some consideration, they settled on three requirements: to preserve the old building and so produce something freestanding; to ensure that the space was covered given the variable climatic conditions in Mexico City, and to engage the environment in dialogue without intruding on it.

The exhibition, which explores the development of religion in Catalua and how it relates to language, is divided into six themes and is primarily presented through documents and books.
The botanical collection includes the Amazon Rug, which was inspired by the forest of the same name. The neutral collection includes the rugs Inception and Toulousse.
