Cadaval and Solà Morales was established in New York City. In 2005, the company relocated to Barcelona and Mexico City. Clara Solà-Morales and Eduardo Cadaval have lectured and taught at a number of prestigious academic institutions in North America and Europe. At the Barcelona School of Architecture, ETSAB, UPC, they both hold the rank of associate professor. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively, Eduardo and Clara served as visiting professors.
