Richards Basmajian offers a full range of design and project management services, working equally well with professional clients for whom the construction is a core activity, as with those for whom the management of a project is outside their general expertise.

Interior Architects who do a broad range of work, welcome new challenges and treat each project as a unique set of problems to be solved.
1. Reed Smith Richards Butler

Based in the central district of Hong Kong for more than twenty years, Reed Smith Richards Butler had outgrown their multi-floor premises by late 2018.
2. Freshfields – Client Meeting Suite

In conjunction with their One Island East premises, a Client Meeting Suite was also constructed in an 8,000 square foot space at 36F Two Exchange Square in Central.
3. Prudential Brokerage Centre

Within less than 4,000 square feet, this project on Level 10 of Lee Garden Five combines a very spacious client reception/waiting area, an open cafe with woven vinyl flooring, a boardroom and seven private meeting rooms.

4. Ninety One

The design of the new premises is similar to the firm’s New York City office with regard to the materials selected and in the floor finishes. At the Front-of-House the signature application of extra-wide borders in contrasting finishes at reception, Boardroom and in the meeting rooms visually links this space to the one that preceded it in Manhattan.

Wall finishes and colours are derived from the firm’s corporate design guidelines and used throughout the office at both the public areas – including in the corridor leading to the base-building toilets – as well as in the restricted-access office areas.
5. DLA Piper

Remaining within the Hong Kong Land portfolio, DLA Piper has relocated from Edinburgh Tower at The Landmark to new premises on Levels 24 – 26, and half of Level 11, Three Exchange Square

6. Weil, Gotshal & Manges

With spectacular views across Victoria Harbour, this two-floor office for Weil, Gotshal & Manges in Alexandra House is largely finished in a neutral timber veneer, off-white stone and purple-grey broadloom carpeting, with accents of colour in the furniture and artwork.

7. Facebook

This office features many of the amenities most of us can only wish for, from the fully equipped ‘Micro-Kitchen’ to the ping pong table to the treadmill – equipped, of course, with a work surface – to the massage chair with a million-dollar view.

Working closely with the Facebook team, the premises was brought to life over a period of six months, culminating in frantic trips to local showrooms for that one last piece of casual, eclectic furniture to give the interior the feeling of a home away from home – a place the staff wouldn’t necessarily want to leave at the end of the workday.
