The stunning 10,000 sqft private family mansion in Doha, Qatar, is adorned with geometric themes. A stunning handmade Swarovski chandelier cascades down the centre of a show-stopping solid brass and glass balustrade, capturing true luxury interior design in Qatar. From the four stunning geometric wall lamps encasing the entrance hall columns to the bronze-inlaid doors, only the finest British and Qatari craftsmanship was utilised to create this sublime example of luxury interior design. A precisely personalized aesthetic to meet the client\u2019s every requirement is created with solid rosewood joinery, silver-stained velum and nickel accents in the master bedroom suite joinery, a shagreen-clad billiards table, and opulently designed silk rugs with gorgeous embroidered drapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The magnificent natural surroundings of Hong Kong\u2019s Discovery Bay inspired Katharine Pooley\u2019s interior design for this impressive 6,399 sqft private property. She uses natural components and tones to create a fresh, airy, and modern design influenced by sand and water tones, as well as the warm amber of sunsets. The formal rooms feature contemporary furnishings and extravagances such as lush brocade textiles and a handcrafted rock crystal chandelier. The fireplace is constructed of powdered precious stone, metals, and resins, while the living room wallpaper is abstracted renderings of rocks and cliff formations. While living in Asia, Katharine sought decorative inspiration from the locations and materials she adored, resulting in a richly layered, gorgeous design studded with unique handmade objects; the epitome of a luxurious holiday break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The owner of West Bay Villa was so impressed with Katharine\u2019s work that he encouraged her to open a shop in Doha. Katharine chose the Gate Mall as the site after conducting extensive research. The Gate Mall is widely considered as the city\u2019s most lavish retail complex, featuring various high-end British enterprises. Katharine framed the vision from the entrance to the end of the 3000 sqft flagship display area with intricate woodwork and wall panelling, accentuating its vastness and drama. To further separate the space into smaller room groupings, Katharine used beautiful, custom-made, four-metre-tall brushed brass screens with woven platinum and gold metal mesh and hand-embroidered crystals. These \u201cchambers\u201d provide the showroom with a sense of anticipation and excitement, keeping it from becoming overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The furnishings of the 52 rooms, four restaurants, juice bar, fitness centre, spa, and swimming pool were all inspired by the interiors of luxury automobiles. To depict the hotel\u2019s ultra-modern architecture\u2019s aerodynamic shape, metal resins and exquisite marbles are mixed with opulent linens and premium-grade embossed leathers.
