The tribute that was provided o the master artisans with the Masters of Excellency awards, was the first highlight of this second edition. A total of 10 craftsmen (and woman) received an award each and was recognized by their strength to resist \u201cwhen the market went through hard times\u201d.<\/p>\n

The intervention of Nicole Segundo, current Network Developer for Portugal at Michelangelo Foundation, at this season of Luxury Design and Craftsmanship Summ<\/strong>i<\/strong>t<\/strong><\/em>,<\/span> was truly important to understand the importance of craftsmanship and its history. She introduced the audience to the history and main purposes of the Michelangelo Foundation, which are mainly centered around promoting, preserving and perpetuating the classical arts and crafts in order to ensure that the future generations take that mantle and preserve these complex traditions.<\/p>\n

At the Luxury Design and Craftsmanship Summit<\/span><\/strong><\/em>, was able to assist to a\u00a0panel about the \u201cPresent and Future of Craftsmanship\u201d, with artisans Rui Pinto and V\u00edtor Querido, Joaquim Barros representing Covet Foundation\u2019s Creative Culture Hub, PullCast\u2019s CEO Jo\u00e3o Barros and FRESS\u2019s CEO Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Amaral, moderated by journalist Marina de Almeida.<\/p>\n

The Live Showcases were a big highlight of this event, where you could see live master artisans meticulously performing the finest Arts & Crafts in a unique opportunity to discover the behind-the-scenes reality through different workshops. The essential of this event is taking by this showcases where we can see on live the true essence of these arts.<\/p>\n

The discussion of Miguel Coelho specialist in brands, was an important intervention because, he explained to the audience, with a touch of humor, the weight of communication in their promotion, as well as the constant need that many companies have to be in touch with technological innovations in order to compete with other top names. He also enhanced the importance of quality as well as telling \u201csuperfluous\u201d apart from \u201cessential\u201d, as well as the role that emotions play in this current digital age.<\/p>\n

Throughout the panel, each of the guests presented a history regarding each of the main business that they are a part of and also engaged in a healthy debate regarding their own perspective about the challenges that many artisans have to face with the crescent modernization.<\/p>\n
