Joe and his late business partner, Tom Fox, grew up in New York City and created Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> when they were in their early twenties. Joe and his dedicated team have created a network of loyal partners who aid them in bringing their imaginative designs, which are unique to each project, to reality after three decades of experience. He collects unique historic items and collaborates with artists, craftspeople, and artisans from all over the world, adapting to the times without succumbing to fashion fads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Paul Rudolph Townhouse in Greenwich Village, NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Paul Rudolph redesigned this historic nineteenth-century mansion in the 1970s. The new owners enlisted Fox-Nahem Associates to work with Steven Harris Architects on a total gut renovation that preserved much of Rudolph\u2019s original design character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Robert A.M. Stern Townhouse in West Village, NYC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robert A.M. Stern\u00a0<\/strong>designed this recently built townhouse in\u00a0Manhattan\u2019s West Village<\/strong>.\u00a0Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong>\u00a0reimagined the five-story home, adding texture, warmth, shape, and color while keeping the client\u2019s significant art collection in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. The Dakota Building in NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For the\u00a0Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong>\u00a0team, the opportunity to tackle \u201cNew Traditional\u201d in one of NYC\u2019s most prominent buildings was a welcome one. The idea was to create a place that seemed lighter and more contemporary while still keeping the formal grandeur that the space was designed to have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Puck Building Penthouse in NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This new penthouse was built atop NYC\u2019s renowned Puck Building, designed by architect\u00a0Jose Ramirez<\/strong>.\u00a0Fox-Nahem<\/strong>\u00a0Associates\u00a0<\/strong>was tasked with rearranging the spaces and creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for a young family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Southampton Residence<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> worked closely with their clients, who had owned this classic house south of the highway since the early 1990s, to entirely reuse the space for their current lives as empty nesters. An unsuitable Family Room, a too-tight Master Suite, and an outmoded Kitchen were re-imagined for their needs today, after what had been intended as a refresh swiftly developed into a rebuild.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Robert Downey Jr. Windmill \u2018Cottage\u2019 in East Hampton, NY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In a magnificent Hamptons compound tailor-made for family fun, Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, producer Susan Downey, take a break from the fast lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annabelle Selldorf and Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> were enlisted by a New York gallery owner and his family to design a Hamptons retreat where their blue-chip art collection could shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
