GABIPONTI – Launching Innovative Special Collections from a Website

GABIPONTI is a South-Korean company that offers special contemporary bespoke design furniture, lighting, decoration and lifestyle collections from brands all over the world. The aim is to source and supply products for their customers, through partnerships with overseas brands. which have been carefully selected based on the design taste of its (GABIPONTI) founders.

GABIPONTI was founded by Gabriela Minna Yun, taking inspiration from the designer and architect Gio Ponti to not only create the company’s logo but also to complete the company’s name. The logo has several meanings: it can be seen as a chair, like a woman wearing high-heels, decorative lighting with the concept of an art object, is also a representation of all objects that we use for everyday decorations.

NUANCES Rug and Puff were designed by Patricia Urquiola, and it is a 100% handmade collection made with colour variety and innovative materials, resulting in a combination of craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability.

The rug PLY is all about attractive patterns, organic shapes and encompassing texture, designed by MUT Design. PLY is a hand-embroidered rug from a tightly woven loop layer, like plywood.

The Diamond rug for outdoors was designed by Charlotte Lancelot, made from 100% recycled PET; the designer’s aim was to superimpose different translucent geometric shapes to create coloured diamonds with multiple visual effects of transparency and gradients.

All of these three rugs are from GAN, a brand that specialises in handmade home textiles, belonging to the GANDIABLASCO group. GAN pursues new techniques and designs, having various product collections that play a central role in any interior it is set on.

GABIPONTI launches collection by curating collaborative brand products, introducing new collections from emerging international design brands with the ‘Web-Shop-Gallery’ option provided in the company’s website. All products sold can be customised to suit one’s taste, curating only high design with great quality and handmade furniture, lighting, decoration and other accessories.

OSCAR

Óscar is the Masculine representation of the classical canons of ancient Greece. A rug with cubist language that refers us to a half-hybrid figure because at that time the canons of the human body were represented in a universal way, the figures were worked roughly with some delicate features.

Mira

In a cubist language, Mira is the representation of Cleopatra, where life emerges in the form of colour, taking us on a journey through the communion of cultures and style. This bespoke rug, hand-tufted in botanical silk, deconstructs classic concepts with solid and simple plans, representing the influence of history in contemporary design.

Foil

Inspired by the adaptability of a foil, FOIL rug is a handmade rug with a geometric and unusual design, ready to make the difference in interior design. A Botanical Silk rug that combines neutral tones in the most engaging way possible, while also combining an unarranged display of geometric shapes and coloured intersections, making it stand out.

Isaac

A triumph of geometry and colour, which combines rounded, square and vertical lines. An unusual combination of colours makes it provocative and, at the same time, impossible to not observe the design’s surprising harmony. A rug with botanical silk and natural wool, where are present four different techniques, giving the rug a three-dimensional feel that makes it stand out in every room.
